The shortest journal entry I have ever had was simply, “I’m”….that’s it. I have no idea what happened that day and when I looked at the next entry, which was the next day, I wrote as if nothing unusual happened the day before. No mention that I got interrupted or anything like that. By the time I went back to read that “I’m” entry, I had already forgotten what happened that day. That happened about 19 years ago and has not happened ever again…I hope!
I actually hope to make shorter journal entries, so that it is less rambling and speculation. I like to read something concise and straight to the point. I think clearly getting the ideas across along with the emotions that go along with them, is a masterful way of writing.
